Shirley-Marie Davis performs for us in assembly
Written on Thursday 26th February, 2015
Shirley-Marie Davis, mother of Scarlet and Billy-Dean, gave us a beautiful performance of ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ in assembly. A former pupil and now a parent, Shirley-Marie has always loved singing. She entered BBC’s ‘The Voice’ and appeared on television supported by her family. Billy-Dean even had the opportunity to sit in one of the famous chairs and used the mechanism to turn around! Sadly it was not Shirley-Marie’s day and none of the judges chairs turned. Their loss was our gain and the children and staff were visibly moved by her lovely singing. We have asked her to come back to perform again and she has agreed! Her singing was an inspiration.
