Hot Weather Arrangements
Written on Wednesday 21st June, 2017
We should just like to reassure you that we are taking as many precautions as possible to safeguard the children in this hot weather.
At lunchtimes when the children are out on the field we are blowing a whistle and getting the children to have some time in the shade under the trees and drink from their water bottles (please make sure your child has a water bottle in school). If we feel the children (or any individual child) aren’t coping with the heat, then we will bring them down to the classrooms to play during either breaktime or lunchtime.
Although the staff are not allowed to apply sun cream to any child, if your child has brought sun cream into school and wishes to re-apply it before breaktime or lunchtime then they can and our staff will just supervise to ensure they apply it correctly.
If you have any concerns please contact the school directly or speak to your child’s class teacher.
