World Book Day – tomorrow, Thursday 1 March
Written on Wednesday 28th February, 2018
On World Book Day (Thursday, 1 March), staff will be dressing up as their favourite book characters. We’d like as many pupils as possible to join us so please get searching through the dressing up box for a suitable costume!
We’re also holding a Book Swap afternoon, where children can bring in a book they would like to exchange with another pupil. It must be a book they have read and they need to be able to explain why they are recommending it. A bookmark will be sent home for your child to fill in with their comments and can be tucked into the front of the book they bring to school.
As a grand finale to the day, we’d like to invite parents to come and see us perform some of the poems we have been learning by heart. The recital starts at 3.00pm in the school hall (the top gate will be opened at 2.50pm). We hope to see many of you there.
